Coconut: The wonderful gift of nature!
All about Coconut
The coconut (Cocos nucifera) is the fruit of the coconut tree, which belongs to the Palm family (Arecaceae). Regarding its origin, some claim it first appeared on the northwest coast of South America, while others believe it originated in Southeast Asia.
The word coco is Spanish and means “smiling face” (due to the three holes on the shell), while in Hindi, the coconut is called “Kalpa Vriksha,” which translates as “the tree that provides all the vital ingredients for life.”
